Description
The Gond tribe which happens to be one of the largest tribes in India was of the view that everything is interconnected with nature and that it is the one and only source of devotion.
This is why most of the paintings by the tribe are a reflection of humanity’s closer collection to its natural surroundings.
Another source of inspiration for their paintings was the myths and legends that make the culture so uniquely beautiful. All these paintings are a fastidious work of dots and dashes together forming patterns and images with vivid color schemes and messages.
With this work of art, our attempt has been to present our version of a Gond-inspired art, narrating a story with Nature as the protagonist. Hand painting the elements of this art form is no easy feat but we created an immaculate piece that will gracefully accentuate the beauty of any space they take up. For the branches and the peacocks, we first carved out the wood along with its grains. The leaves on the resin tabletop have entirely been hand-painted, and so are the edges with 24 karat gold shade. We’ve opted for a transparent resin concept just so the table with the glass-like finish could reflect the hints of gold across the edges. This could be such an incredible addition to both indoor and outdoor settings making you feel closer to nature. The art has been preserved in epoxy resin, buffed for a glossy sheen and the topmost layer has been coated with oil for protection against dents and scratches.
IMPORTANT – This table is one of its kind and cannot be recreated. We here at Aadhya make hand-painted tables and share an authenticity certificate with our products to ensure originality.
