Description
Gond art is an artistic genius of India’s largest Adivasi tribe, who used their art to preserve their history. The Gond community held a strong belief that viewing a positive image begets positivity. To capture that essence in their paintings, they festooned the outlines of their dwellings with traditional motifs and tattoos. Their main focus through their art was to portray humans as protagonists in the general drama of life, sharing a special connection with their natural habitat. The reason why Gond paintings are so soulful and captivating is because of how wonderfully they depict nature and the role it plays in the lives of humans.
