Description

African tribal art as a form can be understood as the paintings or carvings depicting the lives led by the native tribes that were around 3000 in number settled across the world’s second-largest and second most populous continent.

This art form is a genius representation of the imaginations of the settled farmers and hunters known for their own autonomy and unique characteristics.

This art form has popularly been seen as executed on rock walls of the caves where a major chunk of African history has been studied by generations of art historians.

Each and every curve and contour in African tribal art holds a significant meaning. The deer with curved horns on this work of art in particular represents the underrated power of gentleness. Deer albeit was used as a symbol of hunting, a necessary means of survival in the earlier times, but what it quintessentially represents is forbearance and gentleness.

With this, we bring you a geometrical representation of animals, and symbols depicting a part of history drenched in a deep understanding of one of the past’s most important cultures.

The color inlaid artwork has been done purely with hands in layers of resin. The final coating of a protective layer of epoxy resin has been buffed for that glass-like shine, finished with a layer of oil for that pristine glossy touch and protection against scratches.
