Gond Art is all about its oneness with Nature. Gond artists organically or unconsciously may have created environmental awareness with their depictions of harmony between humans and their surroundings. The tribe believed everything to be sacred, which is why they treated elements of their artistry with utmost care and consideration.

Their paintings are mostly in the form of storytelling, carrying elements like trees, leaves, animals, and human figures, resulting in the clarity of these hidden narratives to a layman. Our attempt with the artwork on our luxury tables was pretty simple. We wanted all the elements to effortlessly mingle together and form a story, waiting to be told in spaces both big and small. From the color scheme to the continuity in the hand painted artwork, following the shape of the carving, everything was done in order to have the richness of the Gond style shine through. The painted elements that are easily spotted in our daily lives but barely looked upon with much thought are to enhance a person’s connection with nature.

To achieve this work of art a grained piece of log has been carved out using a CNC machine to create the cows and the branches that form the part that has been color inlaid. The Gond-inspired artwork has meticulously been hand painted onto each layer. This live edge table has been protected with a layer of epoxy resin.
